'Bear Necessities'
I have chosen to represent the Sun Bear, the smallest of the bear family and a forest friend of the Orangutan.
Under threat predominantly from habitat loss across Asia, but also from poaching.
An exhibition of all artwork will take place from the 16th - 20th November, at The Oxo Tower Gallery, London.
Invitational Artist
After the success of last year's auction, I was honoured to be invited to donate a painting to this year's exhibition and auction.

FINALIST 2021!
To my absolute delight and surprise, this little guy (or maybe gal) made it through to the final 100, to be auctioned off, raising much needed funds for projects supporting endangered wildlife. To find out more about Explorers Against Extinction, check out their website.
'Out On A Limb'
The challenge to find a subject to draw, for entry in to this competition was not hard. Sadly, there are hundreds of animals that fall into the categories of critically vulnerable or endangered. But the challenge for me, was to find a face or expression to convey the message of vulnerability. Moons ago I travelled around Borneo and visited the orangutan rehabilitation centre in Sepilok. I have never forgotten the emotion and expression I saw in the young orphans faces.
